Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Byto Home ("we", "us") collects through its website and Android app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Byto Home is a grocery-delivery service operating in India.

1. Data we collect

Account — your name and email address, received from Google Sign-In when you log in.
Delivery details — the delivery address, phone number and recipient name you enter at checkout.
Precise location — your device's GPS coordinates, captured only when you place an order, so the delivery rider can find you. We convert them to a Google Maps link shown to our staff and the assigned rider.
Order history — the items, amounts, coupons and status of orders you place.
Support messages — the content of any support ticket or chat you start with us.
Diagnostics — if crash reporting is enabled, technical error and device data (app version, OS version, stack traces) via Sentry. This contains no order or contact details.

2. Why we use it

To take, prepare, route and deliver your orders.
To let a delivery rider navigate to your address.
To show you your past orders and their live status.
To respond to your support requests.
To keep the apps working and fix crashes.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore) — hosts our database and sign-in. See Google's privacy policy.
The delivery rider assigned to your order — receives your name, phone number, address and GPS pin for that delivery only.
OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — your coordinates are sent to look up a human-readable address label.
Sentry — receives diagnostic/crash data only, if enabled.

4. Retention

Order and account records are kept for as long as your account is active and as required for tax and accounting. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data (see Contact).

5. Your choices

You can decline or revoke location permission in your device settings — note that an order cannot be placed without a delivery location.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.
You can sign out at any time from the Account screen.

6. Children

Byto Home is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will change and material changes will be notified in the app.
